Open House 2011

Our fourth annual Open House was a fun and successful two day event with over 120 people stopping by to browse our gallery of work. While sampling fine wine, cheese and crackers and always a favorite, a variety of Kate's homemade cookies. We met many new faces and along with many return regulars from 10 to 5 each day, November 19 and 20th. For the first time we will be opening our Gallery to the public on each Saturday through December 17th from 10 AM to 3 PM. Any other time please call for an appointment. Thank you.

About Us

Gallery DiMaggio is a blog site that enables us to post images of original paintings and drawings of Jack DiMaggio.
Jack's work is on display in our home gallery at 667 Walnut Street, Lockport, New York. We are open on an appointment basis only, except for once a year when we are a part of growing list of galleries and art centers that participate in the annual 'Art Trail Open House Weekend', usually the third weekend of November. Gallery DiMaggio is located in a completely remodeled area of our home. It features a well lit and artistically designed space to display and view a variety of framed and matted works in pencil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, and mixed media. Note cards in single and packet form are available, along with magnets, and book marks all representing original work. (Prints are available as well). Also, check out our "wine" related art on display that includes: wine journals, wine bottle tags, address Books and note cards that all have wine related images from original work. You may also find our wine display at: The Schulze Vineyards and Winery located on Coomer Road in Burt, NY; and Niagara Landing Wine Cellars, on Van Dusen Road, Lockport.
Make arrangements to experience this unique space to view Jack's work in a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere with a glass of wine, or a cup of coffee and homemade bake goods as you browse.
If you see any work that may interest you as you scroll this blog please email us and we will supply any and all details, that includes size, price and shipping information. All work that is shipped out of State will be packaged, insured and shipped by UPS or FedEx, at the cost of the buyer. As of May 22, 2012 Gallery DiMaggio will be accepting Visa, Master Card, and Discover cards. All sales are subject to New York State Sales Tax.
Gallery DiMaggio also does custom matting and framing.

A brief Bio sketch of the artist:

"Anything that excites my eye motivates my creative side to draw and paint. I am a constant observer of my surroundings and use line, color, texture, space, and composition to depict what I see. I can't remember when I didn't have a passion to draw and paint faces and figures. I am a restless observer of my environment and motivated to interpret through my work what I see. The constant changing of natures compositions and endless variations of light, color and texture, along with the unique and intriguing characteristics of our humanness piques my artistic curiosity. The creative process energizes me and enables me to leave a tangible imprint of what I see and how I interpret it through my work".

Hours

The Gallery is open by appointment only, except on special designated dates. The annual Holiday Art Trail Open House Weekend (always the weekend before Thanksgiving) is our biggest event of the year. Mark your calendar...this season our Open House will be held on November 19 and 20th from 10AM 'til 5 PM.
Make it a must stop on your personal holiday "to do" list...visit Gallery DiMaggio to peruse Jack's work. Come and enjoy a glass of wine and sample some home made cookies and friendly conversation with the artist.
Also, this year Gallery DiMaggio will open its doors from 11 'til 4 every Saturday, starting November 26th through December 17th.
